Goddess of Rock

Goddess of Rock

This is a 3D mixed media collage.  It features a mini guitar, mounted on an oval plexi plate with a "halo".  The plexi plate is surrounded by metallic gray guitar picks.  It is mounted on a red vinyl record, which is mounted onto silver mattboard.  The entire piece is mounted on foam so light passes through the translucent red record and is reflected back toward the viewer from the silver background.  Small rhinestones adorn the edges of the record.

Honorable Knight

Honorable Knight--

This journal page was created for Day 10 of The Creative Jumpstart Summit 2013.  It is a mixed media collage piece.  I used paint and a stencil on the hard plastic from packaging to create the strip on the right side of the page.

Steampunk Fairy

Steampunk Fairy mixed media journal page.  This page was created for Day 6 of the Creative Jumpstart Summit 2013.  The base is gesso followed by two thick coats of Martha Stewart crackle paint.  After that dried, I applied a thin wash of gesso and lots of color.  I layered the image, added embellishments and silver paint splatters.

Gothic Romance

Gothic Romance--mixed media journal page
This is my completed journal page from Day 3 of the Creative Jumpstart Summit 2013.  I titled it Gothic Romance.  The page is done in a sketchbook on Canson's multimedia paper.  I used a dictionary page, black card stock, acrylic paints, perfect pearls mists and embellishments.  The image was printed on an inkjet printed and sprayed with krylon workable fixative before adhering to the page.  Now if only he could come off the page and be real!!!
