Castlevania Fan Art Piece----Gabriel

This is a Castlevania Fan art piece featuring Gabriel.  It is 8" x 10" and is a mixed media piece.  I created a collage background to resemble stucco.  Then, I attached a sketch to the canvas and added color with a variety of media, including acrylic paint, art bars, colored pencil and markers.  I sprayed the finished piece with Krylon acrylic glaze to stabilize the water-based art bars.

Castlevania: Lord of Shadows Fan Art

Just finished a piece of fan art featuring Gabriel from Castlevania: Lord of Shadows. This is a mixed media 9" x 11" canvas.  The texture on the canvas was created by using gel medium to adhere torn pieces of art paper to the surface.  Gesso was used to adhere strips of gauze to the surface.  I used  graphite pencils, colored pencils, acrylic paints, and Artbars to add color to the image.
