Pirates of the Caribbean---OOAK Mixed Media Artwork.  Background is watercolor  and gel pen.  Pirate is colored pencil, marker and acrylic paint. She Mourned Art Journal page

"She Mourned" is an art journal page.  The journal is rather small, 5 1/2" x 81/2".  This page was not gessoed first, so the graphik markers bled through to the back.  I did 2 pages without gesso.  The rest of the pages, I am adding gesso first to expand my range of media.  The images were attached with glue stick and came from different magazines.  Both images were accented with markers to highlight color.  A graphite pencil was used to add shading in the background and around the edges.
